The number of lone families increased regularly in all European countries during the past decades. They represent nowadays around 12% of all European families with children under 25. These families are particularly vulnerable in terms of care arrangements. The main questions in this work is for one hand finding different care arrangements that lone mothers shape in conciliation between work and family and for the other hand knowing the problems they have to face in this double front of their life. The comparative analysis will led us to build a typology which we think it could help to understand the main constrains and problems these families face in their daily experiences related with this concrete question.
