Fernando Ampudia de Haro graduated in Sociology (1998) and completed a PhD (2004) degree in Sociology (with distinction) at the Complutense University (Madrid, Spain). He received the Complutense University Extraordinary Award for his PhD thesis The Civilization of Behaviour: Good Manners and Civility in Spain from Middle Ages to date. Master Degree in Social and Solidarity Economy at ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon (2016). Post-Doctoral Researcher.  Post Doctoral Research Grant from FCT (2006-2012) at the Contemporary History Institute (IHC - Universidade Nova de Lisboa). He combines or has combined his research activities with teaching at the Universidade Europeia – Laureate International Universities (since 2009), University of Salamanca (2006), University of Comillas (ICADE, Madrid) (2006-2008), Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas (Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences, ISCSP, University of Lisbon) (2011-2012).He mainly lectures or has lectured subjects related to sociology, sociological theory, methodology and introduction to social sciences.
