Juliana Iorio completed her research in Migration at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon in December 2018. Her PhD project was on the "Trajectories of international student mobility: Brazilian students in higher education in Portugal", financed by FCT.Her research interests are: Media and Migration, student migration/ international student mobility, skilled migration, Brazilian migration, Integration of migrants and descendants of migrants.Until August 2020, she was a researcher in the "Estudo sociaológico sobre a integração de jovens migrantes e descendentes de migrantes no concelho de Sintra" (CIES-ISCTE). Currently, is a consultant in the project "Trajetória escolar, académica e profissional de jovens brasileiros, ucranianos e chineses" (CIES-ISCTE).She is also a collaborating researcher at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning (IGOT), University of Lisbon.
