Di
Giovanni
is
an
architect
and
a
Ph.D.
in
Urban
Studies
(ISCTE
and
FCSH-NOVA).
Her
research
is
funded
by
FCT
(SFRH/BD/130465/2017)
and
focuses
on
integrated
interventions
in
social
housing
with
an
interdisciplinary
approach
among
architecture
and
social
sciences.
She
holds
a
master’s
degree
in
Architecture
from
the
University
of
Palermo
and
a
postgraduate
in
Urban
Planning
in
Public
Administration
at
the
Sapienza
University
of
Rome.
She
was
successful
in
some
architectural
projects
and
she
worked
in
Italy
about
heritage
promotion
and
local
development
in
local
associations.
In
2017,
she
was
integrated into
the
project
exPERts
–
“Making
sense
of
planning
expertise:
housing
policy
and
the
role
of
experts
in
the Programa
Especial
de
Realojamento”. In
2019
she
has
been
visiting
scholar
at
the
University
of
Camerino
(Italy)
and later
at
the
University
of
Rome
Tre
in
the
frame of
the
research
award
"AESOP
Young
Investigator
Training
Program
2019".
