Marta Entradas presents results on scientific integrity practices

Marta Entradas, Professor at the School of Sociology and Public Policy of Iscte and researcher at CIES, was invited to speak at the inauguration of the Science Communication Research Center at the University of Twente, the Netherlands, which took place on July 12, 2024.
The researcher shared the results of a study on the perceptions and practices of scientific integrity with the audience.

Between July 16 and 19, 2024, Marta Entradas also attended the EASST-4S 2024 conference, which took place in Amsterdam.
During the conference, the researcher participated in two sessions where she presented her studies: “Motivations and practices of scientific integrity and communication of scientists in Portuguese universities” and “What is the role of science communication in universities”.

EASST-4S 2024 is a conference organized by the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology (EASST) and the Society for the Social Study of Science (4S), which aims to explore topics and issues related to Science, Technology and Society. In addition, it acts as a platform for networking, collaboration and knowledge sharing between professionals dedicated to understanding the complex interactions between science, technology and society, with the aim of tackling and contributing to transformations in an era of significant social challenges.

 

Marta Entradas is also part of the local coordination team for the European research project Probing the impact of integrity and integration on societal trust in science.
