The Centro de Investigação e Estudos de Sociologia (CIES-Iscte) of University Institute of Lisbon (Iscte -Instituto Universitário de Lisboa) is calling for applications for a Master’s Student Research Grant under the project “BeWell-Iscte”, funded by the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES), in the context of the Program for the Promotion of Mental Health in Higher Education, under the following conditions:

SCIENTIFIC AREA
Psychology

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must hold a degree in Psychology and be enrolled in a Master’s programme in Community Psychology.

PREFERENTIAL FACTORS
a) Experience of research and/or intervention in projects with higher education students;
b) Domain of methods for the design and evaluation of social intervention projects;
c) In-depth knowledge of risk and protective factors in intervention with young people;
d) Proficiency in spoken and written Portuguese and English.

WORK PLAN
The work plan is based on supporting research and dissemination activities in the context of the “BeWell-Iscte” project. More specifically, the grantee will provide support for the project's activities which include researching and reviewing scientific literature or other sources of information (e.g, good practices); creating materials and content for project activities; planning and carrying out pilot or needs assessment studies; collecting data in the context of project evaluation or other studies by U-Health - Observatory of Health and Well-being in Higher Education; planning and designing workshops and mentoring; screening students for therapeutic responses together with the SAS; and writing project materials and reports.

DURATION
The scholarship is for a period of 12 months. The scholarship contract may be renewed within the duration of the research project and in accordance with the stipulations of point 4 of Article 6 of the Research Scholarship Regulations of the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P. in force.

v. Other supporting documents deemed relevant, including letter(s) of recommendation (not compulsory).
