“War and Peace: Portugal in a Global Context” is the theme of the first edition of Encontros com a História (Encounters with History), which will take place in Sintra, at the Olga Cadaval Cultural Center and MU.SA, the Sintra Arts Museum, on March 7 and 8, 2025. This first edition offers a vast program of conferences, round tables, visits to places of historical interest, a commented screening of a film, linked to the theme of the event, as well as a visit to a museum. As part of the initiative, there will also be a themed exhibition and a History Book Fair with Livraria Almedina.
This nationwide, annual event will be organized around a different theme each year, covering various eras and dimensions.
