The Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES-Iscte) at the University Institute of Lisbon is looking for people interested in collaborating on the research project ‘Cmp_Pop Roma – Understanding, Mapping, Including: The Roma/Gypsy Population in Portugal’ (funded by FCT with reference 2023.10572.CIG).
This project aims to deepen knowledge about the Roma/Gypsy population in the Portuguese context, contributing to effective social inclusion and the strengthening of more inclusive public policies.
The candidate should have the following profile:
a) Training in the field of Sociology or Social Psychology (with a master's degree and enrolled in a PhD programme);
b) Availability to participate in the process of conducting questionnaire surveys and to assist in the supervision of this process.
c) Experience in the collection, processing and analysis of statistical data, using SPSS;
d) Experience in conducting, processing and analysing in-depth interviews, using MAXQDA;
e) Experience in writing reports, mainly statistical, and producing other dissemination materials (infographics, etc.);
f) Interest in the field of studies on the Roma/Gypsy population.
