Azevedo
worked

women's
rights
and
development
cooperation
in
the
NGO
sector.
Since
october
2017,
she's
sociology
PhD
student
at
ISCTE-IUL
and
researcher
at
CIES-IUL.
She
has
a
PhD
fellowship
(Reference
SFRH/BD/128722/2017)
from
the
portuguese
national
fund
for
scientific
research.
Her
research
focuses
Portuguese
migrants
in
Switzerland
at
retirement
age,
with
a
gender
and
a
transnational
perspectives.
Her
thesis
is
directed
by
Prof.
Rui
Pena
Pires
(CIES/
ISCTE-IUL)
and
co-directed
by Prof.
Karin
Wall
(ICS-UL)
and Prof.
Gianni
D'Amato
(Swiss
Migration
Forum/
UNINE).
She's
Associated
Doctoral
Student
to
the
nccr
-
on
the
move
(National
Center
of
Competence
in
Research
–The
Migration-Mobility
Nexus),
in
Switzerland.
She's
also
Associated
Researcher
to
the Emigration
Observatory
(OEm).
She
has
been
a
Board
member
and
Chairperson
of
the
General
Assembly
of
the Sociology
Students
Association
of
ISCTE-IUL
(NESISCTE).
