Tiago Correia (PhD in Sociology, 2011) is an Associate Professor at International Public Health and Biostatistics Unit and a Senior Researcher at Global Health and Tropical Medicine of the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine – NOVA University of Lisbon (IHMT-UNL). His teaching and research interests build around the link between health systems, organizations, and professions; medical epistemology and social theory applied to health. On these topics he has published extensively, coordinated undergraduate and graduate courses, participated (as leader and member) in international and Portuguese-funded projects and research networks, organized scientific events, promoted outreach activities for broader audiences, and provided specialized consultancy for Portuguese and International institutions.
