Stanford University recently announced the new version of its World’s Top 2% Scientists List. In the world's top 2%, CIES-Iscte researcher David Cairns is once again listed in the “citations in the last year (2023)” category.

The “World's Top 2% Scientists List” published here is based on Scopus, an international database of scientific articles, based on standardized and precise citation metrics, which aims to combat self-citation abuses. The number of citations makes it possible to assess the impact and influence of researchers and their institutions.

David Cairns is a researcher at CIES-Iscte, whose fields of study include youth, mobility, education and work. He is the global coordinator of the “CircCi - Circulation in Science: Mobility, Precarity and Economic Growth” project.

David Cairns' distinction in this ranking reflects the quality of the research work carried out at CIES.
