The second international meeting of the Erasmus + project “Self-determination & Inclusion by Theater - SDIT”, coordinated by CIES-Iscte, took place in Cagliari, Sardinia, between September 16 and 20.

The work carried out included a joint reflection on the implementation of the project in each country so far, the discussion and finalization of the modules of the course for theater professionals to be carried out, under the same methodology, in Portugal, Italy and Spain and, finally, the preparation of the strategy for making the actions operational.

The aim of SDIT is to test an innovative methodology for training community theater groups in the inclusion of people on the autism spectrum.

The project, whose actions are taking place according to schedule, is generating a lot of interest and participation in all three countries.

Coordinated by CIES researcher Luís Capucha, the SDIT project aims to transform the theater industry over the next two years, making it more accessible, inclusive and welcoming to people with autism.
