In the context of the 3rd edition of the Research and Development (R&D) Awards, CIES-Iscte recognised a total of 72 researchers, acknowledging and promoting the excellence of scientific production developed at the centre.

The awards were presented in two categories: Scientific Publications and Research and Development (R&D) Projects, recognising scientific output from 2023 and 2024.

• Scientific Publications, which recognize works published in the calendar year of the award edition;
• Research and Development (R&D) Projects, which recognize project proposals or studies approved in the year of the edition.

In this edition, 117 scientific publications were awarded, including 113 articles in indexed scientific journals and four books, as well as 14 research projects.

Compared to the 2023 R&D Awards edition, there was an increase in the number of award winners, with seven more researchers recognized in 2024. This growth reflects the dynamism and ongoing commitment of the CIES-Iscte scientific community to research excellence.

CIES-Iscte congratulates all the distinguished researchers, reiterating its commitment to the promotion of science and knowledge.
