Crime, Surveillance and Mobilities in the Atlantic

The CICNRA project - International collaborations: crime and police cooperation in the Ibero-American Atlantic, c. 1870-1940 invites participants to attend the project's final conference, which will take place between September 10 and 12, 2025, in room B332 at Iscte - Knowledge and Innovation.
This event marks the conclusion of a cycle of interdisciplinary research dedicated to the study of transnational networks for combating crime and the dynamics of police cooperation between Ibero-American countries in the period between 1870 and 1940.
The conference will bring together project researchers and invited experts, promoting debates on:
- International policing and the circulation of police knowledge
- Transnational crime and border control
- Diplomatic, legal, and police networks in the South Atlantic
- Archives, sources, and methodologies for the history of policing and crime
