The journey marks the life of the migrant. Their luggage is not only a collection of objects, but also of ideas, sounds and words that inhabit the mind of the traveller and which, at their destination, must make room for new ones. Just as in words, dialogue in music also becomes necessary, and that is what this concert aims to represent: a musical dialogue that leads to intercultural relations between two heritages, Portuguese and Venezuelan, crossed in the comings and goings of musicians Andrea Imaginário and Miguel da Silva. Poetry will be the protagonist of each sound explored, from Pessoa and Camões remembered in the Caribbean, to Venezuelans Andrés Eloy Blanco and Henry Martínez involved in Portuguese saudade.
The concert will be followed by a conversation with the artists and a creative workshop.
Bring an object, a text or a sound alluding to migration!
9 November, 4 pm at Jardins do Bombarda (Rehearsal Room), Lisbon
