International Conference “Peripheral Connections: Youth Creativities and Public Policies” will take place on June 25 and 26, 2026, at Iscte - University Institute of Lisbon and at Ponto Kultural (Algueirão-Mem Martins).

This conference is part of the project “PERICREATIVITY: Peripheral Creativities: youth, arts and public policies in segregated territories” and will bring together researchers and other civil society actors who work on and reflect upon peripheries, youth creativities, and public policies. The aim is to foster dialogue among diverse experiences and perspectives through working groups.

The Opening Keynote Lecture will be delivered by Carles Feixa (Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona), with the talk “Youth Cultures and Urban Arts: The Periphery is the Center”.  The congress will also extend to Ponto Kultural, a landmark peripheral space known for developing new artistic dynamics.
