The Doctoral Colloquium of the School of Sociology and Public Policy (ESPP) is an initiative that has been held since 2013, in which ongoing research within the doctoral programs coordinated by the School's two research centers, the Center for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES-Iscte) and the Center for International Studies (CEI-Iscte), is publicly presented and discussed.

Its aim is to make the academic community aware of the research being carried out in these programs, as well as to promote broad public debate on problems, methods and results. The aim is thus to contribute to the dissemination of the work carried out in the doctoral programs and also to promote greater involvement of doctoral students in the academic community, supporting them in the development of their theses.
