The Challenge of Tax Policies
Equity, competitiveness, sustainability and tax competition.
The perception that tax policy does not fulfil the objectives of equity and competitiveness necessary to the reduction of inequalities and to the promotion of economic growth, as well as the new questions related to worldwide tax competition, environmental sustainability and territorial cohesion were the starting point to, in collaboration with the Social and Economic Council, debate and analyse tax policy in Portugal.
